Managing Process Safety risks to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) is the prime objective in Process Safety Management. This can be achieved by properly managing the installation integrity and/or through confirmation the risk is indeed managed to acceptable risk levels (ALARP) through risk assessment, as demonstrated through the following figure:
